Children of Dune

While driving around Austin today, Cinemagic (XM channel 27) played some music from the Sci-Fi miniseries, Children of Dune. The Dune series of books by Frank Herbert are excellent (among my favorite)... they cover such a wide array of very complicated issues... because of this many people complain that the books are difficult to understand

The Sci-Fi Channel produced two movies (each movie was a three part miniseries) based upon Dune series... the Frank Herbert's Dune miniseries, based upon the first book simply titled Dune, and the Children of Dune miniseries, which is actually based on the second two books, Dune Messiah and Children of Dune.

I was going to love the Children of Dune miniseries regardless because it was part of the Dune series... but James McAvoy, who plays Leto II, definately made watching it really easy. OMG he's so HOT! He will play Mr. Tumnus (the fawn that Lucy befriends) in the upcoming The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe this December.
