I had an appointment at the gym up in Round Rock at 4:00pm (normally a 20-30 minute drive.) I figured leaving at 3:00 would have given me ample time to get there and run on a treadmill for about 10-20 minutes before the appointment… I was mistaken. There was just senseless traffic everywhere this afternoon. I was completely engulfed in road rage! Turns out the road rage actually came in handy as I got to the gym right at 4:00pm… the adrenaline rush lasted the full hour while I was there, so that’s a plus.
That’s my primary motivating factor in working out in the first place. It’s the most efficient way for me to expel anger. The angrier I get, the more weight and reps I add until I’m completely defeated by fatigue (and later pain!)
